What time is golden hour in San Diego?
There is no single universal definition of “golden hour.” Photographers use the phrase for the low-angle warm-light period around sunrise and sunset. The calculation above uses a transparent solar-elevation convention so the page is useful without pretending the boundary is exact.
Golden hour vs. sunset
Evening golden hour begins before sunset and continues slightly after the solar disk reaches the horizon under the convention used here. If your goal is the Observance itself, the central threshold is still sunset—not the photography window.
